Being in a generous mood at the moment I splashed out on a new Mac Mini to replace the ageing eMac that dad has been using. I got a 1.5Ghz Intel Core Solo version with a 17" LCD and I've gotta say it's pretty smart stuff. It boots OS X incredibly quickly (I haven't actually timed it but trust me, it's quick!) I have installed Win XP Pro on it but not having ever used a PC with XP (sounds funny to say PC|XP) I don't know if the boot time is as impressive. It does take longer to load up XP though.
It's a really clever box of tricks from a new user point of view as well as OS X is installed for you so you just take it out of the box plug your peripherals in and away you go! Start web browsing, use iLife whatever as soon as you switch on. Until Apple come up with a machine that doesn't need a keyboard or LCD, just wirelessly connects to your brain, there won't be an easier machine to setup :p
I made the mistake a while back of getting this
My conclusion is that this is a sure fire winner for Apple, good things really do come in small packages!
